@EDUwithEmily Honestly, my teaching life got so much better when I stopped trying to do that. If they were doing what they were supposed to do while standing, safely, I was content enough with that.

Our class had a visit from our supe @JohnWMertz while doing math workshop. Mr. Mertz got down on the floor to play a math game. After he left, the kids had a few questions. The most important one they wanted answered? “Where does he get his shoes?!” #OCSRocks

@colbysharp @sarahatobias I have the same one! $25 on Amazon. It replaced a Stapler brand sharpener I had for *12* years (which was also amazing, but twice the cost). I also have a separate colored pencil sharpener to keep gummy colored pencil shavings from ruining my nice one.
