Anybody who is surprised about this Jalen hurts thing has not been paying attention to what Colin Kaepernick has been saying.

An underdiscussed part of modern capitalism is how low-wage workers are often micromanaged every minute they’re on the clock, while many high-wage jobs come with hours of unstructured computer time where no one really cares what you’re doing as long as the work gets done.

You cannot carry out fundamental change without a certain amount of madness…it comes from nonconformity, the courage to turn your back on the old formulas, the courage to invent the future. It took the madmen of yesterday for us to be able to act with extreme clarity today. I want to be one of those madmen. We must dare to invent the future.

Jamaican political pay is insane relative to the economy. MPs earn ~$150.6k PPP, more than MPs in the UK ($138k), Norway ($132k), NZ ($119k), Kenya ($116k) and France ($102k), and near Australia/US ($173–174k). Jamaica’s PM earns ~22x GDP per capita vs ~4x for the US President.

State agencies CEO in Jamaica are earning 280k to 315k / yr

in the USA...
- White House Chief of Staff earns $195k
- U.S. Secretary of State earns 253k
- Secretary of War earns $250k
- USA EPA Administrator earns $253,000

No amount of justification can make this make sense
