Here a clip from our 2021 documentary 'Santiago Rising' featuring Luis Polo Lillo, director of the inspirational Chilean community TV channel Señal Tres La Victoria (@tv_piola). Polo sadly passed away in December 2021 but his legacy lives on.

@StgoRising directed by @NickMacWilliam screens in London this Thursday 24 October.

Admission is via voluntary donation with all proceeds going towards supporting independent media, equally split between Chile’s Señal Tres La Victoria and UK-based Alborada (@alboradanet).

There will be a post-screening Q&A with the film's director, Chilean journalist/academic Dr Marcela Pizarro and academic Marcos Ortiz (@ojodelmedio). Chaired by @PetermlWatt, host of the Alborada podcast 'The Americas Uncovered'.

**Chilean Ex-President Piñera's Real Legacy**

Chile's former right-wing president Sebastián Piñera died in a helicopter crash on 6 February 2024.

@NickMacWilliam, the director of our 2021 documentary @StgoRising has put together these clips from the film featuring Piñera, which show his true political legacy.

Nick writes: "A Pinochet admirer, Piñera's legacy lies in the brutal state violence against protesters during the social uprising in 2019. My documentary Santiago Rising told the story of his government."
