It was such a peaceful movement, feel so sad that it had to take a violent turn. My heart goes out to the students and their families who were hurt. Paper leak is a very serious issue, and I am glad to know n see that the kids of our country have come together for a better educational system, and their parents supported them.

I truly appreciate the stand they have taken, showing dedication, sincerity, and keenness to study hard n make their future and a greater, educated India. This andolan, this protest, is the right way to go abt it, n the students have done this peacefully. So courageous and brave. Driven and motivated towards education, this generation will make India proud.

This issue is between the students and the educational system, it should not be hijacked politically, the credit should only go to the students of our country, and I am sure the government will also give them all the support n make it a stronger educational system. It’s a win-win situation. Hoping n praying for a positive decision. God bless all of you who wanna be educated.

Education should be the next trend and fashion, and should get trendier n more fashionable yr by yr, itna k bahar se log come to India to study and India becomes an educational hub.

The irony is that this very person once mocked the “paune bare da bhog”/Barsi of Sidhu Moosewala, dismissing it as “nothing but a Congress event.”

For those unfamiliar, paune bare da bhog /First Barsi is a Sikh religious remembrance observed after roughly nine-ten months (three-fourths of a year) have passed since a person’s death. It is a solemn religious ceremony where prayers are offered in memory of the departed. Anyone familiar with Sikh traditions knows this is fundamentally a religious observance, not a political event.

Reducing such a ceremony to partisan politics was disrespectful to Sikh religious sentiments.

So forgive me if I have absolutely no sympathy for this moron, this joker, and this hate-monger.

With all the E20 Petrol now across India, noticing some issues in not so older cars, yes cars sold in the last 2-3 years are E20 compliant, but what about older cars @volklub

Is the Govt indirectly telling users not to buy Petrol cars as of now?

I have moved to EVs but reality is not everyone can do that and when ppl buy cars and keep them for 10-12 years so why force E20 Petrol on cars that are not designed for that engine, won’t it degrade those vehicles.

India’s great Prime Minister Modi held a high-level meeting yesterday. In the meeting, he called all the MPs and ministers. The entire country was expecting that, with the rising prices of petrol, diesel, and CNG, increasing inflation, and the difficult situation faced by poor people, small business owners, street vendors, and rickshaw pullers, the government would announce some relief measures or make an important decision.

But the interesting part is that Prime Minister Modi told his MPs and ministers:

“The heat has increased a lot, so all of you should drink more water.”

And then the meeting ended.

Tell me, can there be a more caring Prime Minister anywhere? In a high-level meeting, he is advising his MPs and ministers to drink plenty of water.

Now wait and watch. Today they are asking people to drink more water. India was already mixing 20% ethanol in petrol, and now the government plans to increase it to 30%. Slowly, after some time, they may even say, “Please drink less water too, we need it to produce ethanol.”

Now it is becoming clear why the great Prime Minister does not hold press conferences. He probably knows that he may not be able to answer even five serious questions.

If questions are asked about development, education, national security, healthcare, and corruption, then he himself might need to drink plenty of water.

In 1914, a Japanese steamship chugged peacefully along the scenic west coast, arriving in the port of Vancouver, BC, after a particularly long journey. The Komagata Maru carried 376 Sikh immigrants from British India. Like any new immigrant arriving on our shores, they brought hope for a better life. But any promise of a new beginning ended before it started.

The passengers were denied entry despite being legal British subjects. A 1914 motion by Vancouver City Council stated that the Government should “totally exclude Hindus… and so amend the Immigration Laws as to prevent Asiatics from entering the Province of British Columbia.” After two months of legal battles, the ship was forced to return to India. Joseph Bird, the lawyer representing the passengers said,

“If these people wish to come to this country, can we blame them? Are not most of the residents of Canada settlers from some other country?”

Fast forward to 2025, over 100 years later. A few days ago I posted about KidsPlay volunteer Harmander Singh, recently graduating from the Alberta Sheriffs Academy. It should have been a moment of pride for everyone; that an individual achieved their dream of wearing a uniform through hard work, dedication and commitment, and wishes to serve the community. But rather, hundreds of hate filled comments tore through the post,

“Stop hiring immigrants..”
“Mass deportations are necessary”
“Diversity isn’t Alberta culture”

Immigrants from all diverse backgrounds have contributed significantly to strengthen the foundation of this nation. Diversity is strength , not a weakness. Hate fuelled speech, divisive political rhetoric, and ignorance doesn’t build communities, it rots them. Too much has been sacrificed and lost already since that ship was turned away in 1914; as a society, we can’t afford to turn away again.
