Ex-Cllr Hopkins new newsletter is full of wild inaccuracies re Broadwalk. Fails to mention his shameful uncritical support for previous scheme & claims “objectors will have achieved their aims of…degrading our town centre”.Beyond reason or parody. Time to retire for common good?
@AmadoandIgloo@Catherinewith11@TristanCorkPost It sounds like you weren’t very familiar with the plans as this is a 42% reduction in the number of dwellings, and 50% reduction in size. We were gutted to not be able to reduce the Wells Rd corner, but it’s still a huge improvement
Labour kicked @Catherinewith11, the farmer at Yew Tree Farm off of the land she was grazing and gave the licence to the people responsible for trashing a dormice hedgerow. @bristolgreen promised to fix @LabourBristol cruel mistakes if elected but now council officers are refusing
@DanicaPriest@BristolLabour@bristolgreen@TonyDDyer @EllieFreemanBS3 Too expensive?! Just send an officer with a clipboard and it’s take them 5 mins to count the size of the herd! And the audacity of attempting to sound so fiscally responsible while being such a spineless dick… 🤯😡
@DanicaPriest@BristolLabour@bristolgreen@TonyDDyer @EllieFreemanBS3 Just thinking, does he also know that the current farmer is breaching the terms of the grazing license? I heard her cows are too big & there are too many of them. Wouldn’t that give Tony the perfect reason to evict her without undermining the officers? (Not that it should matter)
@DanicaPriest@BristolLabour@bristolgreen This is all so stupid and childish!! The Greens can revoke the license tho can’t they? Isn’t there a notice period they could instigate? I expect this from Marvin’s gang of Neanderthals but don’t understand why Tony hasn’t revoked the license yet???
@DanicaPriest It’s not even like @BristolCouncil are being subtle about their corruption and manipulation of the situation! @Catherinewith11 is being scapegoated and punished! Is it true they granted the license to Liz AFTER the debacle where Liz’s cattle trampled people’s graves in the Crem?!

Everything at DMS begins by translating data into insights, and insights into creative. We embrace what you’ve learnt so far, and know about your supporter base, and build upon this to understand the dynamics which have underpinned previous campaign performance. Whilst we encourage clients to focus on the metrics that provide instant insights into the health of the programme: RR%, ADV, ROI, 2nd gift rates etc, we also believe that there is a need for ‘softer’ metrics within the HE sector, that do justice to the non-financial ways that alums can engage and participate with the university (e.g. volunteering, event attendance or mentoring).
Our Senior Strategist comes from a data-led fundraising background. This, coupled with a wealth of HE experience within our teams, gives DMS a unique edge as we can use data insights to solve creative problems and ensure that our creative ideas are perfectly matched to the right audience (or vice versa, depending on approach).
From working with the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐦 to activate 876 new/deeply-lapsed donors in a single appeal, to raising more than £270,000 in an appeal around funding important scholarships for the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬. From fundraising to equip new gene therapy laboratories on the forefront of Parkinson’s and MND treatment breakthroughs for the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝, to investing in the next generation of under-represented scholars starting out on their university journey at the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐡, our strategic, tailored approach enables the development of compelling communications that inspire alumni to support, time and time again.
If you’d like to have a conversation about your alumni fundraising programme for 2025 and beyond, and how DMS can support you with this then please drop us a message, or send an email to 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨@𝐝𝐦𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲.𝐜𝐨.𝐮𝐤

@char1iewatts I heard that Gary Hopkins did that several times in Knowle, including a Costa, on the basis that it would harm the cafes already in Broadwalk. So now we have nail bars and tanning shops, and the small businesses he was protecting have all gone bust anyway
