I said 50% would be reasonable. @MensJournal asked me to send along any additional work I'd done on the piece -- an ongoing assignment they now have someone else doing. I expressed discomfort at potentially providing further work towards an active project no longer my own.

In short...I was told to sit w/ my thumb up my ass until instructed on what to do, continued work as best as possible, had an $800 assignment in a series I was tapped for mistakenly given away, and wasn't notified of that fact until I chased it down. I asked about a kill fee.

Fun fact: If @MensJournal needed it sooner, I could have been given that list. Being forced to wait on #MensJournal to provide that info, by their own stipulation, and being met with radio silence is the reason for the later projected file date.
