@AprilAncira I got you. I understand what you are saying...I do request info if I am looking for a vehicle and I will continue to buy from you guys as I have since I was 18 and my son is probably shopping for his second vehicle now. LOL.
@MySportsUpdate This is heartbreaking. I wish I could tell Jordan that one terrible moment does not have to define the rest of his life. I hope he’s surrounded by people who see the person behind the mistake and help him heal.
THE QUESTION NO ONE IS ASKING:
The NFL and NFLPA track blood-clot cases every year, yet there is no league-wide protocol. What has that data taught them—and what guidance exists when a player is diagnosed before a game and transatlantic flight?
Questions aren’t accusations.
@NFLPA@NFL@Eagles@FirstTake We keep hearing, “Jalen’s health is bigger than football.” Agreed. Then let’s follow that concern with the actual CBA language and the questions it raises.
I’m not saying any provision was violated. I’m saying the people with access and authority should be able to explain how each one applied.
I challenge everyone to read Article 39 of the executed 2020 NFL–NFLPA CBA, especially:
• Section 1(d): Final clearance authority
• Section 1(e): Disclosure to the player and when written notice is required
• Section 5(e): Medical care consistent with professional standards
• Section 5(f): The process for commencing a formal investigation
Concern without follow-through is just a phrase.
@Sam36212742@Ballislife 2 pts from the field is fair to critisize Wemby, but turning that into “he’s immature and a bad leader” is a reach. And OKC can be a great team while still being very good at initiating contact and working the whistle. Both can be true.
I’m not accusing the Eagles or NFL of mishandling Jalen Hurts. I’m sure his case was reviewed. I simply have questions that the appropriate people should be able to answer:
• If club physician informed team personnel that Jalen’s condition was serious, was Jalen also advised in writing as required by Article 39?
• The Eagles say team and London doctors reviewed his ultrasound, cleared him to play and fly, and recommended follow-up imaging. What medical factors supported those decisions, and was that reasoning documented?
• Before the NFL said everything was handled appropriately, was a formal Section 5(f) investigation conducted—or was its conclusion based on a different type of review?
• The CBA gives the head team physician final clearance authority. Who held that authority here, and who documented the final decision?
The preseason blood-testing appendix is probably not the strongest argument because it concerns routine preseason examinations, not real-time management of a diagnosed clot.
I make a living reading tedious builder agreements, land contracts and other complicated documents. This language was not difficult to find. I’m not claiming it was violated; I’m asking whether every question it raises was considered. I would start with Howie Roseman—not for Jalen’s private medical information, but for clarity about the process, authority and review.
@PHLEaglesNation Jalen carries himself with such calm, but this is the part of his story that gets me; the strong women who carried him through every setback before the world celebrated him. Watching his mom feel all of that at once is heartbreaking.
@MLFootball A mother’s love doesn’t need the right words or even prayer to be deeply felt. In a moment like this, her place is beside her child, and I can only imagine the strength it takes to stay there. 💔 Get well, Jalen.
@thepivot Chan never lose the part of yourself that still knows how to have fun. Keeping a little youth in you is underrated. Grow older, but don’t become old. 😂
