نص بيان الخارجية العمانية: 

سلطنة عمان تتابع باهتمام بالغ التطورات الأخيرة المرتبطة بالوضع في منطقة البحر الأحمر.

سلطنة عمان تؤكد على ضرورة تجنب التصعيد وأية تهديدات تؤدي إلى تأزيم الوضع وتعريض حرية الملاحة للخطر.

سلطنة عمان تعمل حاليا بالتنسيق مع الأشقاء في السعودية والأطراف اليمنية والمبعوث الأممي الخاص باليمن بهدف استئناف المسار السياسي وخارطة الطريق بما يحقق الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.

من المؤسف أن يُقدَّم أي رأي على أنه تشخيص أكاديمي دقيق لمجرد أنه يوافق هوى صاحبة التغريدة
فالأكاديمية ليست لقب يستخدم لإضفاء حصانة على الآراء السياسية بل مسؤولية تقتضي الموضوعية والاتزان والابتعاد عن الانتقائية
وعندما يتحول الأكاديمي إلى صاحب خطاب يكرر التلميح والتقليل من مواقف سلطنة عمان فإنه يضعف حجته بنفسه لأن احترام جميع دول المجلس هو أول اختبار للمصداقية وليس اختيار دولة للدفاع عنها وأخرى للتقليل من شأنها

لذلك، فإن محاولة إضفاء صفة القامة الأكاديمية على خطاب يفتقد إلى الاتزان في تناول مواقف الأشقاء لا تضيف للرأي قوة بل تثير تساؤلات حول معيار الأكاديمية هذا
وإذا كان الهدف هو تعزيز وحدة الخليج فليبدأ ذلك باحترام جميع دوله والكف عن التلميح والانتقاص من سياسات أي دولة لأن الوحدة لا تبنى بالانتقائية ولا بالتصفيق لرأي يفرق أكثر مما يجمع
أما العلاقات العُمانية السعودية، فهي أرسخ وأعمق من أن تنال منها تغريدة وأكبر من أن تُستغل في معارك إعلامية أو حسابات شخصية
