Been trying to lose all this weight I suddenly put on in the last 6 months (no changes to diet/activity). So I've been trying walk more and jog (slowly) because my lung function has always been lower than avg.
HR when walking briskly 150-160
HR when jogging 170-200

@KarenStrine3@DrHawken No snacks has been tough but I've been doing pretty well with that. And I've upped my protein.
Weight is just starting to come off even though I started making changes a month ago.
@DrHawken My neighborhood is all hills so I've been doing hill walking too. Need to add weight training.
It hasn't been this hard for me in the past either. Middle age is so wonderful. ๐
@Kenneth33071904 ๐ on the back pain. That's one of the worst injuries.
I used to only struggle with knee pain. Now, I can add hip, ankle and elbows to that. ๐ฉ
@Kenneth33071904 Lol! Yup. Went through that a few times early on a few years ago but my body was better at recuperating. Now an injury could sideline me for months so I hope I'm more cautious. Nothing worse than making progress only to have to stop.
@Kenneth33071904 I did IF to kick off my original weight loss back in 2020. Got to my healthiest since my 20s by skipping breakfast and working out in the morning.
I think I need to go back to morning workouts w weights. I have to be careful bc I have joints that are easily injured. Aging sux!
@CarnivoraCC ๐ซ It's getting tougher out here and having a beautiful mask doesn't prevent this. For my younger daughter, it brought more unwanted attention.
@Kenneth33071904 I've been trying to get at least 10k steps a day which used to be enough for me to lose in the past but hitting my mid-40s did something weird. I gained 15lbs over a few months wout major changes to diet or exercise. ๐
I previously was able to maintain a healthy wt for 5+ yrs.
@seductivcarnag1 After yesterday, I am definitely not going to be jogging.
Diet is already something I was keeping track of but I have to include exercise or my weight won't budge. I think my weight gain is mostly hormonal. I've never had such a hard time losing until now.
