Kansei Matsuzawa (@kan08sei) taught himself how to kick by watching videos online. He was inspired by his first NFL game in 2018. Now, "The Tokyo Toe" is following his dream as a member of the @raiders ๐ฏ๐ต #NFLHeritage
i think there are fair criticisms about a couple of spots on the roster. the raiders had a ton of capital (picks, cash), but they also had a roster largely devoid of talent. i donโt know that itโs realistic to hit on every single โneedโ in one offseason either.
Now I love what John Spytek did this year for the roster. Add a QB for now and the future
created a RB tandem
Got one of the best OL in football
added a true edge partner for Maxx
rebuilt our LB core
added a ton of talent to the secondary
but my one single complaint. The lack of focus to the IDL. I love Adam Butler as much as the next guy, but he's not a true DT1. We have alot of good depth players, but the problem is these depth guys are starting. I know we drafted Hemingway and Pegues last year and are hoping for development but we still could've added someone to start alongside Butler beside Jonah Laulu.
Maybe we sign someone in this second wave of FA or maybe a trade, but the DT room is...yikes. #RaiderNation
canโt overstate just how inconceivably low the bar is coming out from a pete/brennan carroll-managed team and o-line. that said, expecting a notable leap forward from jeanty in 2026.
Jason Kelce says Sunday is the NFL's most valuable asset, and the league's push into new windows is gradually eroding what made it special.

Fernando Mendoza was not happy about having to miss Raiders practice to attend the NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles this week.
โIโm going to be completely honest with you. Iโd rather be practicing right now, and I was really upset about actually having to miss practice for this.โ
Love this quote from Klint Kubiak:
"I think about the type of people (John Spytek) has brought in. We're not out there coaching effort right now. We're not out there coaching accountability. We drafted that part. It's hard to coach those things. Those guys really love football."
I think I want to go all-in on the Raiders this year
Klint Kubiak's 2025 might be the most impressive play-calling season I can think of
His 2024 season was trending in that direction before the entire offense went on IR
The 2023 49ers, before that, averaged 6.61 yards per play (5th-best by any offense over the past 20 years)
Before that, his dad was an all-time fantasy legend. Here's an insane stat: Gary Kubiak spent 13 seasons as an NFL offensive coordinator. His offenses ranked top-12 in rushing yards in each of those 13 seasons, and top-5 10 times (!).
