🤖 AI vs AGI — WHAT’S ACTUALLY THE DIFFERENCE?

We already use AI almost every day.

But AGI is something different.

Here’s the easiest way to understand it. 👇

🤖 AI — WHAT WE HAVE TODAY

Imagine you ask AI:

“Translate this into Spanish.”

It translates it.

“Explain Bitcoin.”

It explains it.

“Write an email.”

It writes it.

“Create an image of a futuristic city.”

It creates it.

Today’s AI can do an incredible number of things — writing, coding, analyzing, creating, explaining and much more.

But you’re still usually giving it a task and telling it what you want.

Now imagine the next level.

🧠 AGI — ARTIFICIAL GENERAL INTELLIGENCE

Instead of giving it individual tasks, imagine saying:

“I want to start a lemonade business.”

An AGI could potentially understand the goal and figure out the rest.

🍋 What should we sell?
💰 How much should it cost?
📊 Who will buy it?
🎨 What should the brand look like?
🌐 Do we need a website?
📣 How should we advertise?
🧩 What do we do when something goes wrong?

And when it encounters something it doesn’t know?

It could learn, adapt and apply what it learned to new problems.

That’s the important word in AGI:

GENERAL.

Think of today’s AI as an incredibly powerful toolbox.

AGI would be more like having an intelligence that can understand the goal, choose the tools, learn what it needs and solve unfamiliar problems across many different areas.

And then there’s another theoretical level:

🚨 ASI — Artificial Superintelligence

AI = powerful intelligence we use today.

AGI = broadly capable intelligence comparable to human flexibility across intellectual tasks.

ASI = intelligence potentially far beyond humans.

AI → AGI → ASI

We are already living through the AI revolution.

The much bigger question is:

What happens when AI doesn’t just answer our questions… but can figure out the questions, problems and solutions itself? 👀

🚨 HOW DO YOU FIGURE OUT IF A BLOCKCHAIN IS ACTUALLY GOOD?

Most people start with:

“What’s the price?”

Wrong first question.

Before buying, mining, staking or spending months building a community around any blockchain, ask these questions — and know what a GOOD ANSWER looks like. 👇

1️⃣ CAN I VERIFY THE BLOCKCHAIN?

✅ GOOD ANSWER:
There is a working network where blocks, transactions, addresses and network activity can be independently inspected.

🚩 RED FLAG:
Everything happens inside an app or database and users are simply told that a blockchain exists somewhere behind it.

2️⃣ HOW IS CONSENSUS REACHED?

✅ GOOD ANSWER:
The project clearly explains whether it uses PoW, PoS, DPoS or another mechanism — who produces blocks, who validates them, how validators/miners are selected and what prevents manipulation.

🚩 RED FLAG:
“Decentralized blockchain technology” is the entire explanation.

3️⃣ WHERE DO NEW COINS COME FROM?

✅ GOOD ANSWER:
Issuance is governed by transparent rules.

You should be able to understand:

→ Initial supply
→ Current supply
→ Maximum supply, if one exists
→ Inflation/issuance rate
→ Mining/staking rewards
→ Burns
→ Team allocation
→ Unlock schedules

🚩 RED FLAG:
Nobody can clearly explain how supply changes.

4️⃣ WHO CONTROLS THE NETWORK?

✅ GOOD ANSWER:
Control is distributed enough that one person/company cannot casually rewrite balances, mint unlimited tokens, stop transactions or change critical rules.

Governance and upgrade mechanisms should be understandable.

🚩 RED FLAG:
The project calls itself decentralized while one administrator effectively controls everything.

5️⃣ DOES THE COIN ACTUALLY HAVE A PURPOSE?

✅ GOOD ANSWER:
The native asset has a clear role in the system — such as securing consensus, paying network fees, staking, governance or accessing network resources.

🚩 RED FLAG:
Its only obvious utility is:

“Buy it because hopefully somebody buys it from you for more later.”

6️⃣ WHAT HAPPENS IF THE NETWORK IS ATTACKED?

✅ GOOD ANSWER:
The architecture has identifiable security assumptions and mechanisms for dealing with malicious validators/miners, double spending, compromised keys, spam, network failures and other attacks.

🚩 RED FLAG:
Security is described only with words like:

“Military grade.���
“Unhackable.”
“100% secure.”

Nothing is magically risk-free.

7️⃣ IS THERE ACTUAL ON-CHAIN ACTIVITY?

✅ GOOD ANSWER:
You can examine things such as:

→ Transactions
→ Active addresses
→ Validators/miners
→ Fees
→ Smart contracts
→ Applications
→ Developer activity

🚩 RED FLAG:
The biggest statistic is:

“WE HAVE 10 MILLION USERS!”

…but almost nothing meaningful can be found on-chain.

App registrations ≠ blockchain adoption.

8️⃣ CAN I VERIFY THE PROJECT’S BIGGEST CLAIMS?

If they say:

“We burned 10M coins.”

Show me the transaction.

“Our supply is capped.”

Show me the mechanism.

“Liquidity is locked.”

Show me the contract.

“Our blockchain processes transactions.”

Show me the explorer.

“Nobody controls the network.”

Show me how consensus and governance are distributed.

✅ GOOD ANSWER:

“Here is the proof. Verify it yourself.”

🚩 BAD ANSWER:

“Trust the team.”

And here’s my simplest blockchain test:

PRICE can be manipulated.

FOLLOWERS can be bought.

DOWNLOADS can be advertised.

HYPE can be manufactured.

But a properly designed public blockchain gives you something much harder to fake:

VERIFIABLE PROOF.

So before asking:

💰 “CAN THIS COIN DO 100X?”

Ask:

🔍 “CAN I VERIFY WHAT THIS PROJECT IS CLAIMING?”

Because one of the most important principles in crypto remains incredibly simple:

DON’T JUST TRUST. VERIFY.

SOME PROMISES SHOULD BE MADE IN PUBLIC.

Not because you want people to watch you make them.

But because once the words are spoken, you should have the courage to live by them.

I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED.

Not for how much money I made.

Not for the titles I carried.

Not for the position I held.

Not for how many people knew my name while I was alive.

I want to be remembered for what I stood for when standing for it was difficult.

Because I have learned something about life:

RESISTANCE WILL COME.
SETBACKS WILL COME.
FAILURES WILL COME.

But none of them get the final word unless you give it to them.

“The only impossible thing is the thing you have already accepted as impossible.”

If you want to do something ordinary, realism may be enough.

But if you want to attempt something BIG…

Bring some IDEALISM with you.

Dream beyond what currently exists.

See what others cannot see yet.

Believe in something before there is evidence that everyone else can understand.

Because the people who changed the world were rarely the people who simply looked at the ground reality and said:

“This is how things are, so this is how things must remain.”

They looked at that same reality and asked:

“WHY CAN’T IT BE DIFFERENT?”

That question has changed history.

Someone once asked:

“What is the ONE thing I can do to become a better human being without changing every habit in my life?”

The answer was simple:

SPEAK THE TRUTH.

Don’t lie.

Think about how powerful that is.

If you commit yourself to truth, eventually truth begins changing everything else about you.

Your decisions.

Your relationships.

Your leadership.

Your character.

Your courage.

And when I look at history, I notice something else.

People rarely remember who was the richest person alive in a particular generation.

Fortunes disappear.

Companies disappear.

Buildings disappear.

Power disappears.

Titles disappear.

Eventually, even our names disappear unless they become attached to something greater than ourselves.

But humanity remembers those who GAVE.

Those who sacrificed.

Those who fought injustice.

Those who educated people.

Those who opened doors for people who had none.

Those who used their wealth, knowledge, influence, time or courage to make another human being’s life better.

That is wealth to me.

I don’t want my greatest achievement to be something I OWN.

I want it to be something I LEAVE BEHIND.

I want to spend my life fighting for something bigger than myself:

EDUCATIONAL JUSTICE.

HUMAN JUSTICE.

A world where opportunity is not reserved only for the fortunate.

A world where someone’s birthplace, family, wealth or circumstances do not decide how far they are allowed to dream.

Maybe I will succeed in everything I dream about.

Maybe I won’t.

Maybe I will experience resistance a hundred more times.

Maybe I will fail a hundred more times.

That’s okay.

Because failure while pursuing something meaningful is still more valuable to me than success pursuing something meaningless.

“Don’t measure a life by what it accumulated. Measure it by what became better because that life existed.”

One day, like every human being before me, I will leave this world.

I cannot control how long I am here.

But I can control what I try to do while I am here.

And when that final day eventually comes, I don’t need people to remember how much I had.

I hope someone, somewhere, can simply say:

“He tried to make things fairer.”

“He helped someone dream bigger.”

“He stood for truth.”

“He left something behind for people he would never even meet.”

That would be enough.

Because maybe the reason we come into this world isn’t simply to make a living.

Maybe it is to make our existence MEAN something.

Dream ridiculously big.

Tell the truth.

Fight injustice.

Help people.

And when reality tells you something cannot be done…

remember:

Reality describes where the world is today.

It does not get to decide where we take it tomorrow.

And now I need to live by these words.

So today, I am making one promise publicly.

This is the last post from Digital Gold.

Not because the journey is over.

Not because I am walking away.

And certainly not because I have stopped believing.

And I know the responsibility I have chosen to carry.

Maybe I succeed.

Maybe I fail.

It will mean the promise was kept.
