Santa Monica Studio reportedly has three God of War projects in development.

🔹 God of War: Laufey
A story centered around Laufey, Kratos’ wife, reportedly set to release on February 16, 2027, for PS5.

🔹 God of War Trilogy Remake
A remake of the classic Greek trilogy, bringing young Kratos back to the era of Greek mythology.

🔹 A New God of War Game Featuring Kratos
A brand-new game once again focused on Kratos, which, according to Cory Barlog, will have a direct connection to the story of Laufey.

For nearly eight years, there’s been a persistent rumor that Cory Barlog has been working on a brand-new IP, but I’m not convinced that’s actually true.

My theory is that Barlog has been developing his new vision for a major, Kratos-focused God of War project since around 2018. If that’s the case, it could end up being one of the most ambitious games Santa Monica Studio has ever made.

🇺🇸 In 2013, 17-year-old Kendrick Johnson was found dead at Lowndes County High School in Valdosta, Georgia.

His body was found headfirst inside a gym mat stored upright.

Investigators said he’d been reaching for a shoe, got stuck, and suffocated.

The death was ruled an accident.

But his family never accepted that. They had the body exhumed and a second autopsy found his brain, heart, lungs and other organs were gone.

The cavities had been packed with newspaper before burial.

The pathologist also found there was blunt-force trauma to the neck consistent with inflicted injury.

Officials stood by the accident ruling and 13 years on, the case remains disputed.
