Fly fishing outfitter service. Guided fly fishing float trips on the Stillwater and Yellowstone rivers. USMC veteran owned and operated. Semper Fidelis! ๐บ๐ธ
@calgridiron@CalFootball RIP Paul Jones. He was a beast as a true freshman RB coupled with Tom
Newton on the prolific offense of the โ75 team led by Joe Roth.
@CalBearsHistory I was a senior at Cal for Joeโs and the Bearsโ great โ75 season. Joe was butter smooth as a QB. Montana like before Montana! Definite first round NFL draft choice and possible #1 pick. He was that good!
@miles_commodore Iโd go old school with Williams and DiMaggio. Hit for average when there were bean balls, real spikes, no artificial surfaces turning singles into doubles, etc.
@AGuyNamedNam Rolo should provide some veteran coaching experience for the offensive side. A thorough house cleaning and hiring a bunch of young assistants is a bold move, but I think a better strategy then going the old retread route. Donโt discount Ron helping out the D coaches if need be.
@TomeiTyler The purge of assistant coaches has begun. Rolo and maybe Anae may be the only holdovers. Anae supposedly has recruiting chops that might fit the Tosh mold.
@BlackHatFootbal Rolo made comments that indicate heโs petitioning for another year. Would be awesome for him to return as slot WR/PR/KR and gadget player. Now if Cal can land a couple of true #1 WRs in the portal.
@ESPNRittenberg Just a thought, but maybe the dismal showing by the D was in part due to the coaches being preoccupied with job hunting during preparation.
@CalFootball@CalAthletics The 1974-76 Bears were an exciting team to watch. They were loaded with offensive talent (Bart, Roth, Muncie, Strickland, Walker, Rivera) coached by innovative minds like White, Theder and Hackett.
@MattRMoreno@CalBearsOn3 This is exactly what I was hoping forโฆ.awesome move by Tosh and Ron. Rolo strikes me as the kind of guy who will be able to mesh with whomever is hired as OC.
@avinashkunnath Fernando will go down in CFB history like Ferragamo. No reference to Cal, yet it was the Cal staff that saw the potential and initially developed both to the point they went on to star at other programs and the NFL.
@TwistNH7 Iโm curious as to who on the staff is/was credited with discovering, scouting and recruiting Fernando to Cal? Just lucky or someone who truly knows potential talent?
