Remember, most of your stress comes from the way you respond, not the way life is. Adjust your attitude. Change how you see things. Look for the good in all situations. Take the lesson and find new opportunities to grow. Let all the extra stress, worrying, and overthinking go.
2014: clinically depressed. on two antidepressants & an anti anxiety medication. attempted suicide 3 times & self harmed every day for 4 years.
2019: still battle with depression & anxiety but no longer in bondage. find joy in Jesus Christ. made new & made free. alive.
please please please take time to check in on people. there is always more going on than meets the eye, and people need to be loved on and encouraged. it takes two seconds to be that for someone.

Our program lost a young man to a fatal ATV accident this weekend. I urge you to show & tell your players you love them. This generation desperately needs guidance, accountability, & affection from our profession. Coach em tough. Hug their neck. Love em up.
Romans 8:38-39
and so God meets you right here, in the messiness. he doesn’t say to come to him after you get it together. he says come as you are. in fact, when you turn around he meets you right there. wherever that is and celebrates with you at the process of coming home. so just come home.
“Jesus knew lazarus would rise again and still, he wept. because embracing pain is not negating faith. it’s actually part of being in the likeness of God.
so have hope but don’t deny your emotions. pay attention to them. feel what you feel. and enjoy the coming resurrection.”
It’s crazy how you can love someone so much and be willing to sacrifice so much for them but you ask them for one sacrifice and it’s too much. Find that person that is willing to reciprocate back the same love you show them.
Someone needs to hear this: You’re loved. God loves you. Don’t believe the lie that you’re worthless, that life is hopeless and you’re a failure. Don’t give up on life. Keep going. God has a plan for you. Your best days are ahead of you. Trust in God. You’ll be thankful you did.
