Dear @Jeremy_Hunt, this is what you said in 2016. If you truly believe this, why didn’t you mention mental health once in today’s new budget?
No new mental health support teams in schools.
No funding for early mental health support hubs.
No mention of reducing waiting times.
Today was the Government’s last chance before the General Election to finally make young people’s mental health a priority.
It’s time to wake up.
The number of young people with mental health problems has almost doubled since 2016.
We are in a mental health emergency and we need radical and urgent action to stop young people from suffering.
I've joined @YoungMindsUK in adding my name to an open letter from young people calling on @Jeremy_Hunt to #FundTheHubs in the Spring Budget. Add your name here: https://t.co/6bN2RzATje

In this 50-minute video, we learn about Mary Frances Heaton's tragic story and honour her life with dedicated creative community engagement celebrations, including our Blue Plaque to this deeply wronged woman: https://t.co/EKneHlY0QE
A few photos from last night's @artwalkwake where the Museum team got the chance to see the incredible @Yorkshire_STN memorial quilt. It was such a moving experience; each square stitched with love to remember those lost to suicide.
Figures show a 37% increase in self harm in female establishments Dec 21- Dec 22. This trend needs to end. Most women could be safely supported within the community, instead of sending them to an environment which exacerbates trauma and increases their risk of harm.
Our podcast team went to @LeftBankLeeds to review "The Unravelling Fantasia of Miss H," about Doncaster-born Mary Frances Heaton.
In 2020, Wakefield Council recognised her needlework samplers as early examples of art therapy treatment for mental health.
