He has no need to be an MP, he overwhelmingly failed to do the job as an MP - 30% voting record in 2 years, no Clacton constituency office etc

By not being an MP he avoids the scrutiny and investigation (by Parliament) that is desperately needed in to both him and the past of the parties he has been involved with as leader
