My brother who hasn’t turned on his PS3 or used PSN in over 10 years decided to boot up his ps3 to play something that is currently DOWNLOADED on the console.
Licenses are expired and his PSN account is deleted. So games are gone forever
WOOOOO!!!!!
@mrpyo1 Consoles will become obsolete without discs, book mark this. If there is no difference between PC and Console, then there is no reason to support hardware that will charge you for online play, no pricing competition, and no guarantee they won't remove your games.
SAVE THE DISC 📀 SAVE VIDEOGAMES
REPORT: Not only Sony CEO Hiroki Totoki sold his stocks at Sony, but multiple execs as well🚀
The downfall must be close🤣
Keep up the pressure
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
🚨BREAKING: This is why Sony chose to kill physical discs.
Sony makes roughly $45 on a physical $70 game after the retailer takes their cut and you subtract manufacturing and shipping.
On a digital sale, Sony keeps the full $70.
GTA 6 is priced at $80, that gap is even bigger. They make around $35 more per digital copy.
Multiply that across tens of millions of copies and you understand why Sony will sit through every boycott, every community note, and every angry politician without flinching.
This was never about the future of gaming.
It was always about the margins.

REPORT: PlayStation has apparently blindsided, and not told its publishers and business partners, and even branches in other markets, about cancelling physical games🚀
Sony reducing a legacy spanning multiple generations to mere three paragraph blog post that implies utter disdain for its audience is deranged to say the least🎤
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY

Buy Wolverine PHYSICALLY. Cancel you're digital pre-order and buy it physically.
Imagine how dumb these Sony execs would look if they had to show their investors a higher physical split for THEIR OWN BIG HOLIDAY TITLE after announcing they're killing physical PS games.
Rockstar reportedly told Sony to remove GTA VI's branding from the PlayStation App after the disc controversy got too hot
Sony killed physical discs for all PlayStation games starting January 2028.
The backlash was instant.
Politicians calling for regulation. KFC and Domino's publicly roasting them. The internet turned on Sony overnight.
A week ago Sony had GTA VI everywhere.
App icon changed. PS5 dashboard taken over. Store completely redesigned. No PlayStation game has ever gotten that treatment.
Now all of it is quietly gone.
When Rockstar doesn't want to be associated with your decisions you know it's bad.
