The conference committee members work to resolve the two very different versions of HF4300 put forth by the House and Senate.  Their ability to do so will determine if an education bill passes this year, and whether or not that bill will contain additional funding for education.

[STMA Action for Excellence @StmaFor]

HF 4300 is the education omnibus bill. As it currently stands the Senate is only interested in including literacy provisions in HF 4300 while the House and Governor would like to include much more funding for education, including funding for the special education cross subsidy.
