iโd like to take this time to wish my favorite follows - the few that have absolutely TRANSFORMED my trading since the end of last summer - the merriest of christmases. it all started with @jfsrevg and @_TradeJournal crushing my entry in $CAVA. LOL. in no particular order.
Two things you should focus on over the next 6 months if you want to become profitable:
1. Profit taking.
Take profits on winning trades. Donโt let green trades turn red. Every win compounds, and the more you compound, the bigger those wins become.
2. Risk management.
Assume full risk on every trade. No single trade should wipe out a weekโs worth of gains.
Whatโs worked best for me is swinging more during trending markets and day trading more when the market is volatile.
Donโt overcomplicate it. Keep it simple.
If I had to do it all over again..
The truth is I donโt know if I would have been successful at this
Life feels a lot like a random walk. You can do the right things, stay disciplined, and still end up somewhere unexpected, while someone else catches a lucky break that changes everything for them
Skill matters, but luck plays a bigger role than most people admit/appreciate. Some will argue you make your own luck, and I do believe that hard work does increase the surface area of luck but some things are just outside your hands.
Having said that, the goal isnโt to control every outcome. Itโs to keep showing up, stack the odds in your favor, and be ready when randomness finally leans your way.
But also, always be grateful for all the good things that happen to you. Count your blessings.
