It's funny how much dev hype takes over. Trying to take on every bloated framework to show the devs who's boss. Then just to refactor all of it out back down to essentially an MVC with some jquery.

One of our devs is also interested in building an elm implementation with no functional programming experience so everyone wish him luck!

We had a revelatory moment yesterday while doing some dev work, full on react SPA is cool and all but are there different approaches outside of Angular or Vue? Is there a hybrid approach to be taken? We found a couple interesting approaches and libraries...

The unification of the underlying tech would require a unification from the top down, i.e. computing monopoly, so for now I guess we just put up with it and accept the constant learning curve and ever moving landscape of web tech.

shout out to @reactjs for constantly coming out with new features leading to repeatedly re-thinking my entire component library 3-4 times!

Something to consider: is this even worth complaining about? Is the ever flowing landscape of the web-based langs a result of the free market allowing for the consumer to decide on what OS, what device, what browser, what resolution, etc. ?
