Mr Price Group Limited Annual Financial Results for the 52 weeks ended 28 March 2026 (JSE: $MRP)

Headline Financial Highlights (FY2026)

🔹 Total Revenue: R42.7 billion (+4.2%)
🔹 Retail Sales: R41.1 billion (+4.3%)
🔹 Operating Profit: R6.0 billion (+4.3% / +8.0% normalised)
🔹 Normalised Diluted HEPS: 1,411.8 cents (+8.0%)
🔹 Statutory HEPS / EPS: 1,453.9 cents (+2.1%) / 1,449.5 cents (+2.3%)
🔹 Gross Profit Margin: 41.2% (Expanded by 70 bps)
🔹 Final Dividend Per Share: 592.8 cents (Maintained 63% payout ratio)

Outlook

Post-reporting April trading conditions slowed following secondary inflation pressures caused by the Persian Gulf geopolitical conflict, though sales showed steady structural improvement through May and early June. Forecasted FY2027 capital expenditure is budgeted at R1.1 billion for domestic expansions alongside a €24 million allocation for 150 new European NKD stores.

Put into perspective, Nvidia has a larger market cap than the GDP of:

🇮🇳 India
🇯🇵 Japan
🇬🇧 UK
🇫🇷 France

and every other country in the world other than the 🇺🇸 U.S & 🇨🇳 China. Nvidia and 🇩🇪 Germany are very similar

Comparing a market cap with GDP (one year of economic output) isn’t exactly a like-for-like comparison tho

**NASPERS RALLIES 10% FOLLOWING TENCENT’s GAINS

Tencent is getting closer to launching an AI assistant built directly into WeChat, according to the *Financial Times*. Since WeChat is China’s go-to "everything app" with 1.4 billion users, this is a pretty massive deal.

Instead of tapping through menus, users will be able to just chat with the AI to get things done. It will hook into WeChat’s massive "mini-app" ecosystem, letting people order food, book reservations, handle payments, and hail rides using normal, everyday language.

Telkom Group Annual Results and ordinary dividend declaration for the year ended 31 March 2026 (JSE: $TKG)

Key highlights

🔹Group revenue increased 1.4% to R44 477 million
🔹Group EBITDA increased 5.8% to R12 480 million and EBITDA margin was 28.1%
🔹Free cash flow increased 10.4% to R3 068 million
🔹Headline earnings per share increased 21.5% to 708.5 cents and basic earnings per share increased 5.5% to 719.5 cents
🔹The board declared an ordinary cash dividend of 270.10200 cents per share, up from 163.04723 cents per share in FY2025
🔹The dividend will be paid on 29 June 2026, with shares trading ex-dividend on 24 June 2026 and record date on 26 June 2026
