Very conscious letter! Mr. Robyn refers to Tesla as a future “ leading provider of autonomous SOLUTIONS “ !!! Not autonomous vehicles, but autonomous SOLUTION. That is much bigger and different than vehicles. With vehicle redesign cycles longer then 15 years, ( models S , X) if the goal is set to a “ leading provider of EVs” then Tesla is doomed to fail. But when the goal is set to be provider of Autonomous SOLUTION, then who created the vehicle (the hardware form and shape) that will have autonomous capabilities is irrelevant, and that is very grandiose concept of modularity in business modeling and very realistically obtainable goal.

I deeply miss the days when you identified as the citizen of the planet 🌍 earth. Developing value proposition that affect the planet , that empower people all over the world , that change basic mechanisms of how we communicate, travel, learn and explore. Today you identify as a US citizen and spend 99% of your intellect and energy on “local US” politics. Here’s the key! You have no clue today, who will be the biggest creator 5 years from now. The nobody of today, can exponentially grow to become the most influential person of the future. Ask yourself “ am I empowering potential “talent” or just “performance “ With somebody of today you have incremental growth, but with empowerment of the “the nobody“ you create endless potential for the future. Terrible misunderstanding of human needs as a source of innovation. How the car “looks” plays a role only in the purchasing decision if you want to own it! When you call a cab, or use other transportation method, then the underlying elements of the “choices made” are : how available, convenient, comfortable and safe it is . (How others see you is also an element of the decision) Now recalibrate your lenses and look at the vehicle again.! What do you see ?
