I don't know the Jesus some have paraded and waved around in the middle of this treachery today. They may be acting in the name of some other Jesus but that's not Jesus of the Gospels.
No, not RBG. What a colossal loss. What a lioness. She taught us all how to fight, how to fight cancer, how to fight for justice, how to fight for our lives.

A posture of faith embraces God’s Word as our final authority — confident that our circumstances do not interpret God’s Word, but that God’s Word interprets our circumstances. -Rebekah Layton
God sees things we can’t see. He knows things we don’t know. And only He knows what the good plan is & what it will take to get us there.
Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus, choose to believe that God’s plans really are the best plans & remind our hearts we can trust Him at all times.
Jesus never once says, “Perform for Me.” Instead, He tenderly whispers, “Draw near to Me.”
He wants us to learn from Him. Discover who He is and all that we have in Him. Cling to the precious promises He has given us, and receive from Him all that we need to live for Him today.
No matter who we are & what our callings are, we influence others. Friends influence friends. Parents influence kids. Spouses influence each other. Our words influence those following us on social media. Big&small, we cause some sort of chain reaction with the influence we have.
“Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
your justice like the ocean depths.”
—Psalm 36:5–7
Lord, we want to say yes to Your assignments but not run ourselves ragged by saying yes to everyone's requests. Help us know the difference. Help us say 'yes' with joy & 'no' with grace. And help us release our worries about what others will think of our decisions.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:1-2
Change me, Lord, to look and think and love more and more like You.
God really does have it all worked out. The gaps are filled. The heartache is eased. The provision is ready. The needs are met.
Fully. Completely. Perfectly.
In Him. With Him. By Him.
We just have to turn to Him & sit with Him.
Let’s decide now that we’ll get to Him daily.
Truth we can remind our hearts of today: We don’t have to be afraid of the things we don’t know when we remember the perfect capabilities of the One we do know.
Our God is good. Our God is faithful. Our God is forever by our side.
