Thank you for sharing. Yes I am from South Africa.. yes, that tattoo means God bless Africa. It is our national anthem after Nelson Mandela became president and it was inspired by him. My parents and I are avid supporters of Nelson Mandela and this was my way of thanking him for what he did for our country. To all the people in the comments who are immediately saying that just because I’m white and from South Africa that therefore it implies that I am “bad”. That sounds a little bit prejudiced to yourself to just judge that quick without doing any research which isn’t a progressive or liberal way of thinking so I would reevaluate ur own righteousness. Yes my family were boers but that doesn’t mean we supported apartheid. Yes there are people in my family who are but my immediate family was not. No one’s family is perfect. All I know I support the new rainbow nation and flag of South Africa and I am a proud South African and will feel no shame in my patriotism towards my country.
