Sorry, but the absolute best thing two groups in perpetual conflict can do is amicably go their separate ways.
Saying that, after one of those societies becomes economically and politically successful, they need to absorb a hostile minority, would be very disastrous.
@RonWechsler@BarstoolNate I think Yang leaving is what caused us to finally stop watching (was already on life support losing Heidi and Ego.) It became the Sarah Sherman show, and that's just not our vibe. It was a chore to get through outside weekend update.
@steady_drumbeat@USAP_COG Biden did not even a little bit hug Bibi... he had a definite strategy to undermine Bibi while backing IDF. You can hate the strategy but it's real.
@steady_drumbeat I agree we need a specific settlement but you can't get a peace agreement without Israeli trust.
Can't earn Israeli trust while pretending that their existence is uniquely unjust, especially when it just plain isn't.
@steady_drumbeat I don't think it's disanalogous as you say. Both Germans and Palestinians lost a war that they started (Palestine could have just accepted the UN partition).
@neoavatara This is a deliberate troll of Mormons because they didn't exclude Jehovah's witnesses and Christian Scientists. I have nothing against Mormons (who appear to be an especially lovely community) but Christianity requires the Nicene Creed.
@OrganizerMemes I mean, that can be chalked up to what a strategic disaster that period was for anything resembling progressivism.
They won't hold the politicians who failed accountable but they'll at least scrub the ideas.
