Lumberjacks @SFA_MBB continue to push for partial conference title after slipping by New Mexico State 73-71. This was NMSU’s first home conference loss since 2017.
Student journalists also will host a Student Press Freedom Roundtable from 5 to 6 p.m. tonight in the BPSC third-floor commons. Participants will discuss student press freedoms, the First Amendment, applicable law and media literacy. All are welcome to join the discussion.
Join @ThePineLog newspaper and @StoneFortYB for #StudentPressFreedomDay events! Student staff members will hand out candy and information on student press freedoms and solicit input on campus coverage until 2 p.m. today by the student center Spirit Lounge.
Happy October, Jacks!
Thankfully, this photo from the 1982 Stone Fort yearbook is in black and white, so we won’t have any pesky orange in our feed. #JackOLantern

Revision: As of April 18, SFASU Board of Regents have been engaging in contract negotiations with Chartwells Higher Education. If negotiations with CHE are not successful, the administration has been authorized to begin negotiations with Sodexo.
Due to change in food service providers from Aramark to Chartwells Higher Ed, today is the last day Panda Express and the POD will be available on campus. Other dining option changes will follow.
"We are glad our athletes were able to be celebrated in their annual banquet. They work hard to represent our school. They deserve the recognition. However, they are not entitled to ignore the University protocols meant to keep us safe."

It's with mixed emotions that I announce I've accepted the position of Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at Illinois State University. The 12+ years I’ve spent at #SFASU have been among the most rewarding of my career. I will forever consider myself a Lumberjack.
