@darrenvogtart Something compells me to create what I consider to be well-written, entertaining #comics. Those are hard to find, and I treasure them as a reader. It gives me a lot of satisfaction to be able to make my own, and it's a wonderful feeling when other #Readers enjoy my work.
@its_The_Dr My dad, who was a former schoolteacher, let us watch this film on cable when I was a teenager in the 80s. He said he wished he could make it required viewing, because every action depicted in the story -- naughty, nice, cruel, or kind -- has a consequence.
@Nerdrotics @catsatwarpspeed Look, fan fiction has its place... we used to call that place a "trash can" in the 20th century (which was the last time Star Trek was really good.)
@GFRobot If they produce something good, I'll watch it.
Hell, I'll re-watch it. I'll spend money on Blu-Rays and 4k versions of the series. I'll buy the books, comics, action figures, models, etc., etc.
Kurtzman & Co. haven't produced much that's worth watching even once.
@gerrykissell I'm a big fan of Superman (2025), but it should be well down the list, below Donner's Superman and Superman II, and even Justice League. Yes, the Kirk Alyn serials should be there. Also, including all theatrical appearances, The Flash should be scraping the bottom of the list.
@SStossel You know, this is exactly the type of overdramatic, hyperventilating, dishonest B.S. that turns readers away.
Two edits for accuracy:
1. Your headline should read: "Daddy cut me off!"
2. First graph: Delete "special" and replace with "lose a ginormous amount of cash every year."
@CinemaTweets1 I like'em both, BUT:
1. Snyder's take on Superman, as a character, is off. The dark colors, mood, the serious tone -- it's like a Watchmen version. + "Save Martha!" Really?!?
2. Gunn's take is closer to the comics.
3. Neither approach Donner's take, which remains genre-defining.
#knightofthesevenkingdoms was beautiful (except for that opening bit next to the tree). If you've read the books, #HBO absolutely nailed the characters, the setting -- everything. If you haven't read it, I can see how you might be "WTF Is THIS?!?"
Read it. It's the best of GOT.
@JohnPeate5@LadyMMLamb@amuse Now you're just showing your ignorance of the American system.
Congress controls the money. Presidents can usually borrow from already allocated funds for short periods, but once that's gone, he can't tax and spend on his own. He also has no final say on interpretation of law.
@JoshuaBarzon That's funny. Ham and cheese-potato casserole is what we're having for our family's Thanksgiving -- one day after we stuff ourselves on turkey at my sister's house. I love turkey, but back-to-back turkey days is one turkey day too many. ๐ทYUM!
