Hopefully I am not misunderstanding the context of your post: I am a postal worker 📮📦 in the USA and show up every day to work in the middle of the night to get mail out for my community.
We have coworkers who don’t show up at all and somehow don’t get fired. I still keep coming to work under harsh deadlines and still find time for the gym afterwards. It feels unsustainable for my mind and body, but I have to surpass my limits. 💪🏼

Halo Studios STILL failed. Combat Evolved is my all time favorite Halo title. You couldn’t even respect the original fans enough to give us proper lore content in a CAMPAIGN ONLY game.
I wanted so badly to FINALLY see Alpha Base, witness Johnson’s escape from the Flood and get an epilogue DLC for First Strike which… FEATURES JOHNSON. It would have been so much better than Operation Meteorite.
Any hope I had left in the franchise is dead. The pretty visuals do not buy any loyalty from many of us who were there 25 years ago.

Finished it yesterday. Pretty visuals aren’t everything and disappointment is a huge understatement.
I thought we might finally get to see even a single cutscene of important lore points like Alpha Base from The Flood novel (which Chief visits himself). Major Silva is only mentioned in a terminal, lmao. not even a hint about Johnson’s escape from the Flood from the graphic novel. Not even a nod to operation First Strike (taking place IMMEDIATELY after the game ends), which would have been a much better Johnson campaign DLC than Operation Meteorite. What a wasted opportunity. I wish I knew how to mod, because I’d just make it myself.

I got my first tattoo when I turned 21. My obaachan had just passed away at that time, so she couldn’t smack me in the head for getting it. 😂 She was a very traditional Japanese lady. The tattoos I got were in tribute to her. I’ve since had many, including her 家紋. I tell other people regarding tattoos that you just have a “feeling” when you know it’s time. Although I didn’t think about gym or onsen restrictions because I live in the U.S. right now. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yesterday morning’s peaceful SUP journey. Just hanging with my niece. The foot bridge we usually pass under collapsed from the foundation, but was remarkably still in one piece. I hope I can get out again this summer. My schedule makes it so hard to plan even short SUP trips.
