🧵: The decision by the Republican members of the @CobbSchools Board to fire fifth-grade teacher for reading a book covering gender identity demonstrates a blantant misunderstanding of HB 1084, which was passed in 2022 to prohibit teachers from discussing “divisive concepts”.

HB 440 is officially law. This bill will save children's lives by allowing school nurses and/or trained school health professionals to care for those having a severe hypoglycemic episode while at school. Thank you to the Governor and all the cosponsors for supporting this bill.
