🚨Maidstone Attendances ⬇️ 15%!!🚨
I’ve noticed it, you’ve noticed it. The numbers confirm it. Maidstone United attendances for 2025/26 Men’s first-team games across all competitions has dropped by 15% Vs. 2024/25.
This is despite exactly the same number of games (25) being played there across all competitions.
Whilst there were 3 extra midweek games this year, 2 of these related to KSC cup games where lower attendances are expected anyway.
The stats (all comps):
Total Attendance: 4️⃣9️⃣,7️⃣9️⃣0️⃣
Avg Weekend: 1️⃣,9️⃣9️⃣2️⃣
Avg Midweek: 1️⃣,4️⃣3️⃣9️⃣
Highest: 3️⃣,3️⃣8️⃣3️⃣ (Worthing, NLS)
Lowest: 3️⃣3️⃣5️⃣ (Charlton U21’s, KSC)
For context, last year the total attendance across all games was 58,794 with average weekend attendances being 2,435.
For me, there’s a couple of reasons that could explain this decline.
1. The match day experience just isn’t what it was. The food outlets have changed. The smoking/non-smoking saga also caused huge upset (I don’t smoke for the record). Prices have gone up slightly.
2. Club vision. There isn’t one. We say playoffs every year and National League promotion and have the playing budget of a mid-table side. Fans are clearly no longer getting on board with that.
Hopefully some things can move over the summer to make sure we start getting the numbers we used to. Because on its day, the Gallagher can absolutely roar!!
COYS! 🖤💛
