I know @jimharra follows me so he should see this.
Jim: There are some who believe in your integrity and others who think that, for @hmrcgovuk, the only thing that matters is £.
Please see the message below. I believe it is typical. Is this really what HMRC have come to?

I have written to the Prime Minister asking him to urgently review the #LoanCharge legislation.
A number of residents have contacted me regarding this & I share their concerns over this retrospective taxation.

I think almost all MPs have now written to the chancellor, asking for this to happen. #Retrotax#Loancharge can often be cruel and can seriously affect mental health and stability, making it impossible for people to continue to work and to pay and in many cases, to see away out.
I make a good living but given the amounts they are discussing..We’re all vulnerable! I don’t make enough to pay most of the insane monthly instalments I’ve seen and if I came even close I don’t get to ever retire and die penniless. HMRC are a bit like negotiating with terrorists

I've written to the new Chancellor, Sajid Javid, raising my concerns about the #LoanCharge. I believe fairness dictates we pause, commission an independent review of the Charge, and consider further its impact on those affected. I'll continue to work with @loanchargeAPPG on this.
It's time for the new PM @BorisJohnson to instruct @sajidjavid to scrap the unfair Loan Charge - a retrospective tax which is thought to have led to suicides.

And if the case for the #loancharge is so strong, what can anyone fear from an independent review? A review which would have the support of more than 200 Parliamentarians? @loanchargeAPPG#LoanChargeScandal
Just in - comment from Government spokesman which I've added to story: "The PM and his ministers will be setting out more details on their planned policy agendas over the next few weeks and months. As always, decisions on tax are for the Chancellor to announce at fiscal events."
