You are probably as saddened as we are by the cruel pilot whale hunts on the Faroe Islands. At least 140 individuals were brutally killed last Saturday. The suffering these whales have endured is unimaginable.

What can we do about it? Change can and will only come from within, but the good news is that there are many people in the Faroe Islands who want to stop the hunts.

We need to understand why Faroese people defend the hunts and support those who want the hunts to stop. So we’ve surveyed the population to find out why people are in favour of the slaughter, and we are building connections with Faroese activists. The growing anti-whaling movement in Iceland is proof that this approach gets results 💪

As the saying goes, ‘you protect what you love’, so we need to inspire Faroese people to value whales for the awesome, thinking and feeling beings that they are, and awaken an understanding that a healthy planet needs whales. #SaveTheWhaleSaveTheWorld
