The Premier League's philosophy is about to be shaped by men in their 40s. 🧠
🔴 Liverpool → Andoni Iraola (43) 🔵 Man City → Enzo Maresca (46) 🔴 Arsenal → Mikel Arteta (44) 🔴 Man United → Michael Carrick (44) 🔵 Chelsea → Xabi Alonso (44)
We don't decline in our 40s. We step into a masterclass season. We've learned enough. Now we shape the game. 👏
The ASNDL, Rear Admiral IE Shehu, extends his heartfelt greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters. May this blessed season bring enduring peace, happiness and prosperity to you, your family and our great nation. Eid-Al-Adha Mubarak

@ptgorst Passing the ball backwards to maintain possession is one of the issues I think @LFC need to improve on. It seems that because there is a mental default of "pass it backwards to maintain possession", players sometimes don't quickly take up promising positions for attack.
@SamueILFC End of an era doesn't even cover it. That photo won us the Champions League. One by one — until only two remain. The memories are ours forever. YNWA 🙏🔴
A welcome development. Strengthening local shipbuilding and maintenance capacity is essential for maritime security, technical self-reliance, and protecting Nigeria’s blue economy.
Nigeria is expanding naval shipbuilding in Lagos to reduce reliance on foreign vessels and strengthen maritime security. The navy is locally producing and maintaining patrol boats used against piracy, oil theft, and smuggling.
Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris reports.

In that case, all we could hope for is that he turns us from doubters to believers again.
The circle, complete. The race at the start. We would be where Jurgen found us in October 2015.
Press Conference Chapter One, Verse One.
Let me tell you how it happened. Nigeria’s ginger export hit zero from N26 billion within 3 years.
The official story blames fungal blight.
But here is what actually happened. When Nigerian farmers lost their indigenous seed supply, grant-aided interventions arrived with replacement seeds.
An associate professor at Lagos Business School flagged publicly that some of those interventions involved GMO organisms that weakened indigenous crops and compromised soil health.
That is not a conspiracy theory because it is a documented academic concern.
Now that Nigeria spoke got destroyed by the GMO seedlings….what is not the result?
Nigeria was forced to import ginger from China to fill domestic demand. Chinese ginger has none of the pungency, oleoresin content, or quality that made Nigerian ginger a global premium product. And the ginger now sitting in Nigerian markets tastes like wood because it essentially is wood.
The two indigenous varieties that built Nigeria’s global ginger reputation, the Tafin Giwa and Yatsun Biri, had decades of soil relationship and quality built into them.
Once the soil was degraded and those seed varieties were displaced, the product that returned was a pale imitation. Nigeria did not just lose a market. It lost a seed. And without a National Ginger Seed Bank, which nobody has built, it may never fully get it back.
At first he said, "Do you know that people who fall into sin, stay more in love with God than people who don't?" Then the preacher stopped himself when he felt it appeared he was encouraging people to sin more so that they can love God more. He then said that was not his intention but that he was encouraging them to acknowledge their sin because we are all sinners.
In the context of Luk 7:47, should his premise be 'people who sin much, love much' or 'people who are forgiven much, love much'?
@henrywinter I agree. Slotball seems to have lost its direction, intensity and authority. It was Slot himself who said, 'A winning manager has an aura as well'. Right now, we need a winning manager. And if Slot isn't the person, then...
Klopp can:
- Score with Minamino and Ox up front
- win with Rhys and Nat at the back
- win Barcelona with Shaqiri and Origi.
- play enjoyable stuff and win with idiots like Mignolet, benteke, Lovren.
Slot can
- Spend 450m yet still play worse than Klopp's worst season.
Dear @John_W_Henry, @Linda_Pizzuti and @FenwaySportsGrp.
I write this to you on behalf of Liverpool’s fanbase, as we care about the football club dearly and are extremely worried about it’s current state.
Arne Slot is not the man to be Liverpool’s manager next season.
It doesn’t matter what the data and computers say, logic and simply watching the way Liverpool play currently shows us that he is terrible tactically and also in no way adapting. He’s also not willing to identify himself as the main problem, always blaming everything else.
Never have Liverpool’s fans booed a manager at Anfield, nor felt this disconnected from the football club. There will be a significant drop off in merchandise sales and interest club world wide next season and onwards, if this is not fixed.
No, there aren’t mitigating circumstances for Liverpool’s performances this season. Injuries weren’t that bad and the terribly sad passing of our number 20, Diogo Jota, is in my eyes something that should be used as an inspiration to go and win for him, rather than an excuse. He would never have wanted it that way.
Arne Slot’s falling out with Mohamed Salah earlier this season is also something we all find shocking. The egyptian has done so much for the football club over the last 9 seasons and deserves nothing but the best. If he comes out and worries about the coach, it speaks VOLUMES. Listen to him. He should be at the club next season, rather than Arne Slot.
Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes are also not free from criticism here.
They are allowing this club to implode and it’s horribly hard to stand and watch. They haven’t a clue what direction to lead it into, regardless of their prior success.
People say you either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain. The latter is the case for the 3 individuals of our hierarchy mentioned above.
Cut ties, appoint Xabi Alonso (or whoever else you find to be the most fitting for the job, which includes understanding the Liverpool way, the fans etc.).
PLEASE, let us all start next season with a clean slate, some good new signings and a manager that knows how to take the club forward.
That manager is not Arne Slot.
It’s time to make Liverpool great again and put it on the pedestal it deserves to be.
Yours sincerely,
The entire Liverpool fanbase
