Here to learn from and interact with the trading community - Tweeting to record my own development.
I am not a financial advisor because I would be bad at it
Spent a lot of time recently heading back to the drawing board. Trading was profitable, but stressing me out so much I would eventually break and give most of it back.
3 weeks later of building fully automated bots, we're on to something
I find it mad people pay for TradeZella when @MarketMirrorhq is free and genuinely offers more where it matters: emotional control, discipline and accountability.
Most journals only track trades, but the trade itself is just one small part of becoming consistently profitable.
To anyone that is struggling, what helped me is getting the hell off of X and instead learning from what you see. Valueing decisions made from screen time over what some influencer told me to do.
Also, I stopped pushing my size boundaries. Small money is better than no money
Now requesting my 4th Payout from the same account! Previously my record before blowing an account is 1
Are these life changing numbers? No, absolutely not. But that is not the goal rn
I'm ecstatic with this level of progress, hoping to pump those numbers up in the next months

What in the hell is that 😂 I've never had a problem with Apex paying out, so I was lead to believe they were a fine firm (small money - 3, or low 4 figure payouts)
But holy hell thats just the biggest crystal clear sign that they're just a chop shop.
if you think you’ll make a million dollars trading with a strategy like:
“9:30 manipulation, sweep, m1 iFVG”
I’m sorry to break it to you, but that has no edge
don’t believe me?
no worries, you don’t have to
just run an automated backtest, and you’ll see for yourself
it’s a mechanical entry model, a simple pattern
what gives you an edge is everything that happens before the entry model becomes relevant
your HTF bias
your narrative
assessing trading conditions
has higher time frame liquidity been met, or are you trading into it?
is the session likely expansion, or are you forcing trades in a consolidation profile?
that’s where the edge lives
and even if the setup is there, how much are you sizing?
are you pushing size in high probability conditions and reducing when uncertainty increases?
or are you risking the same in random environments?
the entry model is mechanical, it’s the last step before getting into a position
two traders can use the exact same entry model
one will make a living
the other will blow his life savings on evals
the difference is in the discretionary filters applied beforehand
focus on that
15 trading days, more consistent but smaller winners, taking profit when its there. Consistency is really getting there finally after so many years of staring at charts
Posting this mostly for myself as a reminder in the future if I need it, but also as I'm incredibly proud of my progress! I intend to keep implementing these changes and scale into more accounts in the near future, but for now I'm very content!
So I recently came to the conclusion that you cannot make it in trading with a 100% mechanical strategy. The edge of a mechanical strategy is so strongly skewed by human error that its basically impossible.
I then overhauled my trading again to include structured discretion...
5. Most importantly, I stopped worrying about drawdown! I stopped freaking out about the tight prop firm drawdown limits and let the trades work out for themselves individually...
Ridiculously chuffed. A small withdrawal, but enough to cover a few eval attempts and the activation fee. We're breaking even at least 😂
The first of many to come!
Today I passed the minimum payout threshhold for my Apex 250K- 6.6k in 19 days.
This is the first time I'm being paid for my trading in 4-5 years of grinding, and the consistency is really beginning to show.
Seeing this chart is probably the proudest moment of my trading career
