@danielnewmanUV $NVDA has been offering packaged deals to NCP customers as a sweetener to buy more GPUs, and revenue as DGX Cloud back to @NVDA. All in the name of boosting GPUs consumption that the customer will keep buying. I have seen that play a few times happening in Asia.
@Chris_Mellor Several Taiwanese & Chinese brands. I can't name them coz I am associated with them one way or another. I have been correcting them, and it has escalated to more friction in recent times.
But Asian customers love cheap techs without knowing the stuff they are buying.
I am seeing more enterprise #storage companies claiming they can do high performance for #AI. They don't even have RDMA support. Jeez! 😑
The level of B$ mish-mash being vomited out there is just utter bollocks!

I am of the proponent that the brain a one big muscle, and you have to exercise it out often. #ArtificialIntelligence is making the future to be those inept people in Wall-E, the movie.
It's incredible how people who have not contacted me in decades suddenly reached out and say hello. 4 in 1 week, I must say, is a record of some sort.
There is this job at my employer, you see ... 🙄
Just had an #ouroboros moment. If #ArtificialIntelligence is replacing all menial jobs, workers won't have spending power in depressing global economies. Lesser demands for factories, which means lesser need for #AI to produce in factories.
How is #AI benefiting the future? 🤨
So much time wasted trying to create Ghibli-style pictures or 3D toy figurines. Even the C-levels in Malaysia r doing it big time. Instead of trying to boast of whatever with #GenAI stuff, maybe a donkey could do their job.
Wonder why are they hired in the first place. 🥱
Continuing with part 2 of the #storage OKR (Objectives & Key Results) for AI Data Infrastructure, as I look at Power Efficiency and Security.

One guy kept sending me invites to subscribe to his newsletters on @linkedin and I kept rejecting them.
He asked me why. I told him there is too much noise on the platform and too many clowns. I hope he gets the message. 🤡
https://t.co/4vYCPKbSKU It is time to rethink a different approach to AI Data Infrastructure. I call them Storage OKRs (Objectives and Key Results). Part 1 of my blog.
After 15 1/2 years (since July 2009), I will be retiring the #storage technology and data infrastructure (previously @SNIA Malaysia - unofficial) community on Facebook at the end of this year.
20 more days to go.
@Chris_Mellor When these Hitachi news came up a few weeks ago, I found it entirely weird.
Their corporate speak here doesn't bring an assured technology roadmap for the customers. It's a Real Risk when partnerships have issues. Customer could be stranded with little technology continuity
