Top players have always played week in, week out. Liverpool at their peak under Klopp always played Salah, Mane and Firmino.
I get that he probably would have benefited from more minutes management but even that is not a given. I've just torn my hamstring and I play once a week in a 6-a-side league with 30 minute halves.
Also, he is far from washed. Very very far.

It has to be the greatest goalscorer...the one and only @alanshearer at an inflation adjusted £223.3m when signing for Newcastle. He also appears at £100.2m when signing for Blackburn. @rioferdy5 appears twice in the top dozen signings
