The Field Day rain plan has been emailed to staff and parent volunteers. Each grade level will get 45 minutes to rotate through stations in the gym and back hallway. We will still have our hotdog lunch as planned. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility!
This sweet mama duck is waiting for her 11(!) eggs to hatch. She built a nest right up against the school. We should see ducklings before school is out! 🦆
We got our latest banner hung up! I feel a huge sense of pride when I see these banners. They represent 26 years and over $100,000 raised for the American Heart Association. Our students have a huge heart for others, and it shows. ❤️@KidsHeartChall@American_Heart
It’s badminton week! 🏸
Kindergarteners explore movement by tossing, clapping, and then catching their birdies before we graduated to racquets. Older students could self-select a game situation or practice solo or with a partner.
This week, with the first round of testing beginning, I decided we needed a low stakes, low pressure, non-competitive activity. Spinjammers fit the bill perfectly! We did a show off at the end, and I even had students that could do backbends and cartwheels without dropping them!
Our Kids Heart Challenge is closed for the year. We raised $1,000 for research, education, and prevention of heart disease. Thank you, Falcons, for your donations! Prizes will be delivered to Story in a few weeks.
