@ztpayne7@wesleytypes@Atlus_West The change in the fighting system from the Persona/Shin Megami Tensei identical set of creatures was also a huge + for Metaphor.
@ztpayne7@wesleytypes@Atlus_West I genuinely love Metaphor without reservation. I also really enjoyed Persona 5 Royal but when I tried to play Persona 3 Reload afterwards I had a really hard time not feeling like I was just playing the same game with the nouns swapped.
@SynthPotato I love gaming so much because on this list are like 7 games I love (my number 1 is the same as yours), four games I’m indifferent to and four games I absolutely hated and yet… all valid choices.
@wesleytypes@Atlus_West Persona 5 Royal. Something you should understand is unless you are *really* into JRPGs you will probably only have the tolerance for one Persona game every few years. They are almost exactly the same. I’d just play the best one if you want a taste.
@phaseknight_ I think they’re just out of ideas tbh. Seems like a lot of game studios are struggling mostly in the literacy and imagination department which I guess makes sense when you look at how the West has treated humanities education for the past two decades.
So Mass Effect 1 was really good and I’m about 15 hours into mass effect 2 and it… just feels like a first person shooter? Like the story is still good but oh my god the missions feel like Halo. Does ME3 get back to feeling more like an RPG?
Disco elysium asks the important question of: what would you do if there was a real honest-to-god socialist organization that had the capacity to make change on a structural level but everybody in it was, like, super fucking annoying, and the guy in charge was ugly and weird?
Yesterday we held the official launch party for Esoteric Ebb. I'm not usually one to celebrate, but it was absolutely magical to see the team (and as many local friends as we could fit) come together and have an awesome time in honor of the game actually being OUT.
THANKS 🐌🙏
@SoraGold_2302 I felt authentically bad at it when I should have been bad at it in the game’s progression and felt great at it when Henry should have been great at it in the game’s progression. I think it was pretty excellent.
“Why does this woman not look like she did 20 years ago with a full face of glamor makeup while she’s playing a dead jotun warrior and mother of a tween?”
Nada en contra del nuevo God of War, pero sean sinceros: ¿Por qué la mujer que aporta su rostro para Faye luce fresca, bonita y radiante, mientras que en el juego parece haber inhalado dos kilos de harina de una sentada?
