Borders Book Festival 2021.
Camerons Strachan Yuill Architects were delighted 2 support this cultural celebration as one of the main sponsors. A proud moment 2 see our banners flanking the main stage for talks by James Naughty & Rory Bremner, & a pleasure to meet Val McDermid.

Church Hall Regeneration a short walk from our Dalkeith office. Well used by local residents, including kids of our MD @StrachanDouglas! Great team effort, with particular thanks to main contractor @OroccoJoinery (inc photos), SE, QS, & client St John's & Kings Park Church.
Orangery style garden room nearing completion in Midlothian. This extension to a listed building is a careful calibration of traditional and contemporary features, allowing the original building to "read" and adding a new chapter to its story. #midlothianarchitect#listedbuilding

Options Time!
Here are three external treatments for a family home extension in Edinburgh. All aiming to improve connection to the garden and make the most of the orientation by letting in lots of light from a high level.
One Dalkeith's "Decorate a Tired Old Bike" project has been a great success so far, with these bikes and more popping up all over the town, thanks to the inspiring efforts of individuals and organisations like Eskvalley Rotary and Dalkeith Guerilla Gardeners #doingitfordalkeith.

This listed Mews house had been the subject of various poor quality interventions and needed a radical overhaul to optimise it for modern living. This includes conversion of the attic and installation of a central feature stair, linking the re-proportioned spaces together.
Planning Permission Granted.
We're delighted to have secured permission for this well loved local nursery to increase its childcare capacity. During a time when the kids are staying at home, its nice to have something to look forward to for after they return #midlothianarchitect
We're a small business & appreciate the ongoing support of our clients during this challenging time. We are conscious that many other small businesses do not have the same flexibility, so would encourage our friends and followers to also support them wherever possible. #covid19UK
Keep calm & carry on drawing! We're fortunate that much of our work can be done anywhere, so we've enabled our team to continue delivering our projects in multiple locations. We'll also use video calls rather than meetings and of course email. Look after yourselves and eachother.
