Go check and play my micro-game "Re-arm Europe!" 😤

It takes 15 minutes, requires only a pen and a D6. Have fun!

And do not forget to try the other games.

[Thomas Danger @Thomas_DangerRI]

Sur le sujet, je ne peux que recommander les wargames de @EM_DAlessandro, qui précisent 1. La source 2. L'interprétation en jeu, pour chaque mécanisme de jeu.

Guess who is coming at Connection UK 2023 👀

[Sebastian Bae @SebastianBae]

There are several ideas I like in this article -- but it also mischaracterizes the challenges in leveraging new technologies in #wargames and #wargaming discipline in the DoD. Let's quickly explore some of those. 🧵 1/

🇮🇹 First day of NATO WIN23 in Rome!

🧵Here is the thread with what happens during the event for those who aren't there. (I don't promise to cover everything!)

[Strand Simulations Group @StrandSimGroup]

Someone said immersion in wargaming? 👀

[Evan D'Alessandro @EM_DAlessandro]

Late to crowing about it, but last week at Connections I got to present the start of my PhD work on immersion in wargaming! Extremely useful - I got piles of thoughts and data from surveys people filled out (just ask a wargamers thoughts and you get a staggering response rate).

[Strand Simulations Group @StrandSimGroup]

With @EM_DAlessandro participating!

[Sebastian Bae @SebastianBae]

At Connections 2023, @SophiaChang_tn, the @GUWargaming president, and @WOPR_1983GTW began designing a new #wargame. This kind of creative collaboration is the magic of getting #wargame designers together.

[Strand Simulations Group @StrandSimGroup]

Going to Connection US? That's the ideal moment to meet @EM_DAlessandro in person!

[Strand Simulations Group @StrandSimGroup]

The Strand Simulations Group will be at NATO WIN23 in Rome!

Don't hesitate to talk to @Thomas_DangerRI during the event.

➡️ If you didn't read it yet, find out about @B_AllouiCros article published in the @milstrategy magazine!

He talks about the nature of war, and how AI may (not) affect our understanding of war.

[Military Strategy Magazine @milstrategymag]

Back-to-back articles on #artificialintelligence & the nature of #war, two different arguments.

Kilka obserwacji z jednego z najciekawszych spotkań wargamingowych.
I konstatacja, że zasadniczo od strony metodologii tworzenia i prowadzenia różnego rodzaju gier wojennych wcale nie jesteśmy w tyle, brakuje tylko wypracowanej kultury ich wykorzystania.

Looking through the draft of the NATO Wargaming Handbook. Draws strongly from the UK Handbook, but happy to go it's own way. Nice to see Matrix Games getting the attention they deserve... 😉
