After watching the film, here’s how I would summarize the Eagles run game:

1) They are inviting stacked boxes with heavy personnel condensed formations, then running right into the teeth of the defense, even when they don’t have the numbers or matchup advantage

2) They are not using misdirection and letting LBs/DBs trigger instantly and fly into the backfield untouched

3) The combo blocks either never get up to the 2nd level or it happens way too late and they don’t get there in time

4) Jurgens can’t block a moving target, any lateral movement and he’s cooked while Steen has zero power no vertical displacement in the run game at all

5) Johnny Mundt is a decent move blocker but for someone so ineffectual in the pass game, his inline blocking is underwhelming

6) The OL doesn’t fire forward out of their stance, even on north-south concepts. They are obsessed with horizontal displacement (which is a staple of wide zone), but you can’t be effective if you never get knock back

7) The RBs had terrible vision, missing cutbacks repeatedly

Ossoff: Did you see this business about Don Jr.‘s wedding in the Bahamas? Where he received, apparently, a cash gift from a Russian oligarch connected to the Kremlin? This is the president’s son. This man, Kremlev, was apparently in China with Putin two days before he flew to the Bahamas for Don Jr.’s wedding to hand Don Jr. a six-figure check.

They are behaving as if they believe themselves untouchable, entitled to impunity beyond the law. And it reminds me of the story that Amos told us about his times 2,000 years ago in the West Bank…

In our time, while they throw people off their health insurance, they build ballrooms with your money.

Amos said they lie on beds of ivory and anoint themselves in the finest oils. They were living in Mar-a-Lago-like conditions.

Jon Stewart on the Supreme Court: “They have single-handedly made it impossible for us to reform and save our democracy. The way they have made it that corporations are people and money is speech. There has to be a process of amending the Constitution. This idea that Citizens United stands as the law of the land is the biggest bunch of shit. It is not humiliating for him, since he has no sense of dignity, but it is humiliating for the rest of us that the president of the United States serves as a subordinate press officer of the Kremlin, saying things that are not only false and cruel but which only Russians could have instructed him to say, since there is no way he could have thought of them himself, and since they depend on knowledge that he does not have.
