🔴Residents around Colares were reporting strange lights appearing over their homes at night.

🔴Some claimed the lights entered their houses, hit them with beams and left behind burns, numbness, weakness and strange marks.

🔴The reports became serious enough for the Brazilian Air Force to launch Operation Prato - a months-long military investigation into what was happening.

🔴Investigators interviewed witnesses and recorded dates, times, directions, distances, altitudes, object movements and attempts to photograph the lights.

🔴The operation's files also contain drawings and reports describing multiple different shapes and unusual flight paths.

Then came the claim that made this case legendary.

🔴Operation Prato commander Uyrangê Hollanda later said he came within roughly 60 meters of a massive object estimated at around 100 meters long.

🔴He eventually went even further, describing an alleged humanoid encounter connected to one of the craft.

And this is why Operation Prato still matters.

🔴The Brazilian National Archives confirms the Air Force investigation and preserves hundreds of records from the operation. The archive doesn't prove extraterrestrials were involved. But the military investigation was real. The reports were real and the commander later claimed he personally saw something enormous at close range.

There is something genuinely strange about hearing these two descriptions side by side.

On October 21, 1954, Jessie Roestenberg was at her home near Ranton, Staffordshire, when she said a large silver object appeared above the property. Her two young sons were outside. The craft hovered low enough, according to Jessie, that she could clearly see two occupants through its upper section.

And it was her description of those occupants that always made this case unusual.

They weren't Grays. They weren't monstrous or obviously alien.

Jessie described them as extraordinarily beautiful, human-looking people with pale skin and long golden hair. In one of her later interviews, struggling to find a comparison for what she had seen, she said their hair reminded her of “the old kings” she had seen in pictures.

More than 70 years later, David Grusch has now described alleged non-human bodies he says he observed in footage connected to a retrieval operation.
