Cyclic Emergence Theory (CET) – My own cosmological sketch as an autodidact (no high school diploma, no university degree).
Time is not a fundamental dimension. It only emerges through motion. Without motion (dτ = 0) there is no time.
I have summarized this in two images. The formulas show the core:
Spacetime emerges from an infinite sum of microscopic contributions
(ds²_total = ∑ ds_n² from −∞ to +∞)
Matter-antimatter asymmetry as m_rest = m_M − m_AM
Eternal exact recurrence in a countable set of states {S_n}
Most cycles are chaotic (similar to how Penrose describes it in his Conformal Cyclic Cosmology). But because the number of cycles is infinite, sooner or later every possible configuration must recur exactly – just like in the lottery: in infinitely many draws, the same numbers will eventually come up again, even if it hasn’t happened in 70 years (in Germany).
A typical cycle runs like this:
The universe contracts under gravity → all matter accelerates extremely and is converted into energy (E=mc²).
At the central point these energy rays collide at the most varied angles (m=E÷c²) → due to the angular momentum (caused by the angle of impact) matter is created (clockwise) or antimatter (counterclockwise).
A surplus remains → a white hole forms (aka Big Bang) and the universe expands again.
Eventually everything reaches a relative standstill → dτ = 0, no motion, no time.
Gravity kicks in again → particles attract each other → motion arises → time emerges anew.
Viewed from “outside,” each individual cycle is merely an extremely brief flash in the smallest possible unit of time. Infinitely many such cycles overlap. This is why (from our perspective) one and the same particle can be detected at different locations simultaneously – just as in quantum mechanics. Each cycle would therefore be its own dimension, each with 3 spatial dimensions.
This is my complete, independently developed sketch. It connects emergent time, cyclic cosmology, matter-antimatter asymmetry, and the philosophical question of the nature of time. I’m a “layman” and I know it’s still raw. But I find it coherent and exciting.
What do you think?

The Standard Model views time as a fundamental dimension of spacetime, whose arrow of time is determined by entropy. My theory defines time as a product of motion, which is modulated by gravity and velocity. This makes time a dynamic, cyclical phenomenon that answers the philosophical question about the nature of time and emerges anew with every cycle.
In my theory, time is not an absolute concept or an independent dimension, but an emergent phenomenon that arises from motion — whether it is the motion of atoms, planets, or energy.
Without motion, time does not exist.
The more mass an object has, the stronger its gravity becomes, and the more slowly time passes in proportion to that increase.
Velocity increases the relativistic mass, causing an object to experience a higher gravitational effect than the same mass at rest would have. This “artificially” generated gravity slows down the motion of the atoms, which in turn causes time to pass more slowly.
A twin traveling faster than his brother — and therefore exposed to higher gravity than his counterpart — ages more slowly than his twin because, due to the higher gravity, his atoms move more slowly than the atoms at the location where his twin brother is.

@AstronomyVibes Maybe that’s because people only ever work with what they learned at university. This can narrow their focus and stop them from thinking outside the box.
Tag?
