average 30 substats used

before replying/commenting, please read the explanation below.

as usual, all the dps in this team has 100% crit rate to ensure no miss crits. gil and tribbie has 30 substats total on 3 substats that they need: atk%, cr, cdm for gil and hp%, cr, cdm for tribbie.

in case of gil, i think his e1 > s1 as of now. my previous moc testing with s1 results in 2 cycles, while with e1 i was able to squeeze in a 1 cycle clear (with s5 fall of aeon). it makes him more or so the same as tribbie, whereas e1 > s1, which is why i decided to test them with 2 costs on eidolon instead of signature.

overall, i think the difference isn't *that* far? e1 tribbie does shine the more enemy there is, so it makes sense as to why she performs better on pure fiction, whereas on moc and knight ii (minus the joy ascendant on knight ii) the enemy benefits more towards single target. but assuming you want to compare with e0s1/e0s0 on gil, the difference will be more prevalent than this.

so, does gil now became an ashveil-mblade bis?
i would say, kind of? in pure fiction, tribbie is still better to run, but as for other endgames, i think running gil in place of tribbie could work really well, due to how he can become the fua driver thanks to his action forward mechanic.

the one weakness that he has that i can think of is probably his multiplier, but on a second thought, the devs (probably) is already set on having him on saber team (and he already did decent on that team). plus the fact that ashveil-mblade is likely still getting a new dps that fits them better in the future. so as of right now gil is more or so a placeholder before a new dps comes (*cough avensp *cough)

but i don't deny how good their synergy is currently, as gil now is stuck only on 2 teams: saber team and this ashveil-mblade team (his hypercarry is just eh). but it's still v1, so later beta could change more things.

if you're wondering if you should pick him or e1 archer, i would suggest to wait until 4.4 comes and (emphasis on if you're an ashveil-mblade main) wait until the 4.5 beta by then to see if there's anyone new that would fit them better, because gil is currently tied to saber team and this team (this is unless you don't want to pull anyone new).

i think gil looks kinda mid.. like his numbers are 1.x level, his buffs for saber don't really look insane and compared to rin it looks kinda bleak.. idk what's going on there

rin on the other hand is like a dahlia level archer support lmao
