@lewis_goodall Honestly if I was Starmer I'd just quietly bring us in line with all EU regulation and take us back in with the exception of joining the Euro without mentioning it as undoing Brexit. Just call it improved or new trading policy with EU businesses, don't debate and get on with it

@BrummieMan1 @supertanskiii I'd speculate that his links to a foreign power currently with its most right wing Gov ever having close links to the right aligned political appointments (by Johnson) in our national broadcaster and press means he is not allowed to remove them (why BBC news remains compromised).

@ZackPolanski Hilarious to see the frothing bots and paid accounts having a meltdown over someone suggesting billionaires and multi-millionaires pay a few percent more tax, literally like between 1 to 2% at most. You know less than the amount all of our taxes (everyone normal) goes up yearly.

How is his ability to do this role that *must* be apolitical and neutral now tenable after this?

@mariachetcuti1 @lisanandy My constant refrain has been why don't a Gov with such a huge majority that it would allow them to, beef up Ofcom and Ipso, implement some of the Leveson 2 recommendations and restore the national broadcaster back to its charter impartially levels. So why don't/won't they? 🤔
