@altepper 2/2 I am not knocking the researchers; they seem to have done a lot of work to pull this all together so comprehensively, but with my academic head on, I feel there are some questions that need to be considered.
@altepper Very interesting is it possible to see the data behind this, or what sources were referenced?I am most interested in the sources, as I feel key areas are missing, e.g. the trading of software via Internet chat groups. and the amount of pornography accessed, as well. 1/2
@snajix@LlamaLorna@IanDunt@llamalaura How was that phrase allowed to take hold so much. There are FACTS, then there are facts, and the alternative is lies and make believe!!!that’s how the English language works.
@LlamaLorna@IanDunt As we have seen in recent years the polls can be very far from the actual position. I believe this is due to some people trying to trick the pollsters which seems to have become a bit o& a game to some.
@Welovepandas@IanDunt That concerns me even more than the statement that the far right are increasing in popularity in Germany as a comic recently pointed out(John Oliver I believe) that went so well last time. But Trump being reelected truely terrifies me.
The uUS does not need anymore bloodshed.
@snajix @MeadowcroftRob @implausibleblog Nurses and teachers should never be in a situation that they have to use food banks. We must look after those that keep our society going. Not punish them!!!
@subzeronell@PShootLFWW@implausibleblog Or maybe the next government can ensure that suppliers who have won previous contracts are unable to bid for new contracts until they have delivered the majority ROI of any currently awarded contracts. As is the case when bidding for grants.
@PShootLFWW@implausibleblog I’m sure that a supplier has already been lined up and is working with the contractor awarding body to ensure any tender is worded correctly for their service provision.
@snajix@implausibleblog 2/2 unpopular contract changes the government wants GPs to accept? The timing seems odd to me. Especially as I am aware GPs are about to be balloted over strike action in relation to the unfair changes to primary care which is reducing patient safety and patient sat?
@Changeling_1@Peston In fact, the NHS was hailed as such a success internationally that it formed a key part of the opening ceremony at the #London2012 Games. The success of the NHS is one of the reasons we have so many health tourists trying to come here to be treated for free.
@NeilEdwards1978@MrHarryCole Yes, judiciary and politics are kept separate for very many specific reasons. Let’s ensure we keep these separated as best as possible rather like we separate religion and politics. It is important that these Chinese walls remain.
@ollyxolly @IncMonocle I like the idea of a FoI request to find out who was invited and who attended. As public servants they are meant to support our wishes so it seems reasonable to ask for the information. At least they publish how each mp voted in most cases. Helps us hold them to account.
