We are currently running short of:
UHT milk
Tinned fruit
Tinned custard
Tinned tomatoes
Diluting juice and
patience with the UK Governments inadequate response to the absolute horror that is the cost of living crisis

At least six NHS trusts have launched staff food banks or food voucher schemes, to help NHS workers who simply cannot afford to live on the wages they are paid.
So stick the George Cross, give them a 15% rise now
It's now getting harder and harder to be apolitical. Austerity is a choice made by the Conservative Government. People are being punished for being poor. That's it. That's all I want to say.
@IVsneg @StrathUniFS@ForestiKaren@JackTobin67 @Meg_A_Kane @FullMooney_
Government Minister saying that things are going to be difficult for the next few months 🙄. Not for them it won't, they won't be worried about their fuel costs or whether they can afford to eat! Increase benefits now! People are really suffering @IVsneg @StrathUniFS@JackTobin67
I try not to make political statements but Government ministers telling people in poverty what they are doing wrong & how they should be managing their money is outrageous. No empathy, no idea.The Government has been pushing austerity for years. @IVsneg @StrathUniFS@ForestiKaren
2.just kicking the can down the road, spouting never ending platitudes & excuses for inaction. I watched the state opening of Parliament & the government minister interviews this morning. I despair. People must be at breaking point
@IVsneg @StrathUniFS@JackTobin67@ForestiKaren
1. Poverty absolutely negatively impacts people's mental health. It can be difficult working at the foodbank and seeing how badly people are affected. It wold be nice if, at least, during #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek the UK Government actually done more to help people rather than
are working full time, being unable to afford the absolute basics then you should be. Write to your MP, demand change, stand up for those less fortunate. Austerity is a political choice. No-one chooses poverty
@IVsneg @FoundationCFC @Meg_A_Kane @StrathUniFS@JackTobin67
People are at real risk, physically and emotionally. Poverty is damaging to health. It seems the UK Government can find money when its suits their agenda. Its time to support the people who are really struggling. If you aren't angry about people, in a wealthy nation, many of whom
Ok, so what is really making me angry is this:
Numbers of customers at the foodbank are increasing every day due to #CostOfLivingCrisis. We can only do so much, we are not, and cannot be, the solution. This needs proper intervention by @RishiSunak and @BorisJohnson.
I think I need @BorisJohnson and/or @RishiSunak to explain to me how people on UC or low income are supposed to manage, given the rate of inflation. How are people supposed to heat their homes and feed themselves. We don't all have massive expense accounts
