P5-7 had a fantastic morning at Farr Estate watching the Scottish sheepdog trials. We particularly enjoyed watching the trials and learning about the commands and whistles used. Massive thanks to the RHET Highland team.
Outdoor learning this morning was fabulous! Reading in the tipi, fire making, dam building, playdough making and collecting data for our graphs back at school later.

Absolutely beautiful at Strathdearn this morning. Lovely to have our parents and carers in today for a wee sing song around the tree.π

Is this not just the most amazing Christmas tree? Designed, shaped and decorated by our ELC pupils today. Everyone wanted to join in even Mrs Beattie @beattie_arlene.
A massive well done to the Strathdearn team today. They were a credit to the school and showed determination, resiliance and great sportsmanship. A massive well done to all the winning schools today. #crosscountry#teamwork
The rain didn't put anyone off attending our open afternoon today. It was great to welcome all our families in to show our learning and online profiles.

Fantastic afternoon spent in the sun with our families. A massive well done to everyone who entered our Bake Off competition today. They were all fabulous.
Who will be the Bake Off champion? The judges have been hard at work and I am delighted to say we have a winner. We look forward to seeing everyone this afternoon.

These 2 were budding builders this afternoon with our new outdoor blocks. It was wonderful to listen to their discussions around strategy and what to build.

Somewhere over the rainbow... A moment of βοΈ and colour in today's grey day of horizontal rain and strong winds. Surely a metaphor for the hope that our P4-7 pupils can join their ELC & P1-3 peers in returning to our school building soon. P4-7 you're not forgotten and we miss you
Pleased to have had the opportunity to contribute to the report highlighting what is working well in terms of delivering remote learning from a school perspective. Much of what we've learned and experienced in lockdown will redefine education in the future
If you work in any role with children or young people and haven't seen Rita Pearson's TED talk, seek it out. She sums up perfectly the influence of those people (we all know them, we are them) who never give up on a young person, who know positive relationships are everything
Assembly theme for @daviotprimary & @StrathdearnPS was happiness and how to find it when things/life are difficult. Set daily challenges to boost happiness. Today: find something good about your day. Abundant positivity in these wee schools π @actionhappiness@EmotionWorksCIC
It was fantastic to see so many friendly, happy faces for our first online assemblies today.
Our theme was happiness and what we can do at this difficult time to find small ways to lift our own spirits and those of others ππ @actionhappiness@EmotionWorksCIC
It was castle building this afternoon in P1-4 @StrathdearnPS l loved seeing how creative the individuals and pairs were. Looking forward to reading their descriptions later this week.
