Never thought I’d see two Growlers entangled like this. Thankfully it looks like four good chutes. This is reportedly at an airshow at Mountain Home, USA.
Hopefully all are ok and will get their Martin Baker ties.
I often share videos with "how low can you go". Also often, British comment "the Buccanneer can go even lower and faster". Here´s an example of what they mean, in this pass by Test Pilot Derek Whitehead, at RAF Holme-on-Spalding Moor 📹 FAST Aviation Archive
The Ajax procurement scandal is long running and just gets worse. Years late in developing, hugely over budget (of course), making soldiers sick in trials and now this months after it’s finally been deployed (in v small numbers) —
“The British Army has been forced to stop the use of its Ajax armoured fighting vehicle after dozens of soldiers fell ill due to vibration and hearing problems, @thetimes can reveal.
“Soldiers emerged from the £10 million vehicles vomiting while others were said to be shaking so violently they could not control their bodies after war games on Salisbury Plain, sources said. Others had weakness in their legs.”
Scandal. Tho, of course, no heads will roll.
What was it like to parachute into Normandy in 1944, on the eve of D-Day?
Paul Hamilton, as a 12th Battalion Parachute Regiment Pathfinder, did just that.
This is his personal story and eye-witness account:

Ed Miliband orders immediate ban on new drilling in the North Sea, overruling his own officials — who advised following a proper process — and almost certain triggering a wave of legal action.
Miliband told regulators not to approve a new round of drilling that was slated for confirmation in the coming weeks.
Companies have spent millions of pounds on preparing their bids and are likely to take legal action as a result.
Heartwarming response to my retirement letter: “Thank you not only for the great insights you have shared with us, Thank you most of all for reminding us that decency, kindness, and serving the human being in front of us are the qualities which make us excellent. …”
