Just saw this for the first time and immediately thought of you both! Love all the love for the more niche monsters too. ๐

Rereading Maskerade, I'm so impressed by how Terry Pratchett used the English language. He found the perfect middle ground where making jokes about something didn't mean that he was making jokes at someone's expense. It all feels measured, fair, and sympathetic #discworld#books
@mattcolville@S12423234 That's so sad to hear. It's honestly one of the most valuable playlists on your channel from the perspective of a comparative history of the hobby.
An interesting point, and one that I fear my group has run into as well. My subscription is up for renewal in March, and I've been trying to decide whether it's worth it or not.
This was brought up on a discord server this morning and absolutely matches my experience using D&D Beyond for the last Twilight years. Itโs why Iโm not renewing my subscription. #dnd
@tripleclickpod Really loved this ep (and was a huge fan of the movie growing up)! If you guys were looking for another movie to analyze prior scripts of, Jordan Mechner published his original draft of Sands of Time on his website. The differences are fascinating!
@Princess__Sloth@paulscheer Almost got my time stolen by a guy in a wizard outfit, but very glad to have had the opportunity to discuss this terrible movie! Thanks @HDTGM for a great show.
@zarfeblong @MIDImyers I think it's totally possible to make a more environmentally-focused Roguelike that doesn't rely on combat, but you're right that it's certainly a design challenge.
@zzsleeps@Princess__Sloth I kept trying to type out examples of other words that would show how I pronounce it, but all of them would have been different in an American accent. The video seemed the simplest solution. ๐
